Day 01 :Bus from Kathmandu to Sundarijal and trek to Chisapani.
Day 02 :Chisapani to Gul Bhanjyang (2,130m) : The route goes through the pati Bhanjyang valley the land of the Brahmins and Chhetries. There are some hotels and tea shops as well as a police station here. The path then follows a steep ascend to Chipling at 2,170, followed by a stone staircase of 200m climbs on at a pass at 2,470m. Gul Bhanjyang is at a height of 2,130 and consists of Tamang Village.
Day 03 :Gul Bhanjyang to Tharepati (3,490m) : This trek follows a trail over two top ridges. From these two points, Yuri Danda and Panghu Danda 3,285m. there is a spectacula view of the mountain series.
Day 04 :Tharepati to Tarkeghyang : This is a very interesting village for trekkers , as well as being the largest in the area. Tarke Ghayng has been slightly commercialised due to the local good antique sellers.
Day 05 :Tarke Ghyang to Thimbo (1,580m) : This trail includes a rhododedron forest, mani walls, chortens. Sherpa village and Kakani.
Day 06 :Thimbo to Talamarang (940m) : This valley is fertile enabling farming of crops and vegetables such as peddy, wheat, potatoes. The lower land is occupied by the Brahmins, Chhetris and Bewars. After crossing a suspension bridge you will arrive at the village of Mahankal (1,130m).
Day 07 :Talamarang to Melamchi Bazar (830m) : This ia a highlight of the trek the stunnung views of the stream, water dalls and land slides are amazing. Finally, there is a climb to Sermathang (2,620m). At Sermathang is the Langtang National Park, with an entrance fee to pay. If you do not want to stay at Melamchi Bazzar there are places for trekkers to stay just opposite Sermathang.
Day 08 :Drive back from Melamchi Bazar to Kathmandu. |
